Covering an area of 1250 square meters, Shanghai maglev museum is located at the 1st floor of Maglev Longyang road station, which containing most of the history and technology of maglev train. The museum is composed of “Birth of Maglev”, “Maglev Shanghai Line”, “Maglev Technology”, “Maglev Superiorities” and “Prospects for Maglev”, totally five sections.
Shop rooms are also available on the first floor of the Maglev Long Yang Road Station, with a total area of 1,406 square meters.
In the Maglev Long Yang Road Station there are also a few meeting rooms and VIP meeting halls where the ex-Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder were accorded a grand reception in 2003. Later, many receptions were given to many Chinese leaders at various levels and heads of a lot of countries.
The Maglev Line of Shanghai starts with Long Yang Road in the west, extends along the Ying Bin Avenue to the east and ends at the Pudong International Airport. It passes Luo Shan Road, Outer Ring Road, Hua Dong Road, Shang Chuan Road, Pudong Canal, Chuan-Nan-Feng Highway and the Yuandong Avenue. The surrounding scenic spots are The Oriental Pearl Radio and Television Tower, Shanghai New International Expo Center, Shanghai Pudong Lingkong Agric Garden, Pudong International Airport, etc.
