Day by Day Itinierary

Day  11  Lanzhou  ( B,L )
Tour starts early in the morning, drive 4 hours to visit Labrang Monastery in Xiahe county.
Monlan Festival XiaheThe Monlan Festival is a Buddhist Tibetan festival that takes place every year in Xiahe, thousands of pilgrims from every part of the Tibetan areas meet in Xiahe for the Monlan celebrations. They will celebrate the New Year praying all day long.
Labrang Monastery Xiahe280km (4 hours drive) to the southwest of Lanzhou, Labrang Monastery is the second largest of China's six great lamaseries practicing the Yellow Sect (Gelug) of Tibetan Buddhism. From 4 to 17 January and 26 June to 15 July (these dates may change according to the lunar calendar), the Monlan Festiva……

[ Optional ] Xiahe: Xiahe is home to the famed Labrang Tibetan Buddhist monastery, one of the largest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries outside of the Tibet Autonomous Region. The town is populated largely by ethnic Tibetans.
Day  12  Lanzhou, Xian  ( B )
Tranferred to Lanzhou airport to the flight to Xi'an. Upon arrival Xi'an airport, pickup by local tour guide and start our tours in Xian.
Muslim quarterThe Muslim Quarter features a mix of Chinese and Islamic cultures. It wins the reputation for the alley lined with market stall and the tasty snack food. Meanwhile, it is a good place to head for when looking for those hard-to-find souvenirs.
Great MosqueThe Great Mosque is one of the largest and best-kept Islamic mosques in China, which was originally built in 742 AD during the Chinese Tang Dynasty(618-907). It combined Islamic culture with Chinese traditional architecture seamlessly and became most featured and renowned mosques in China.
No 144 of Bei Yuan Men Folk HouseAncient-styled folk house in Muslim Quarter of Xian, mainly a brick and wood structure. It was listed as a "key project of Sino-Norway Historical Districts Protection" in 1999, and Norway Government is the sponsor that helped this cultureal program.

[ Optional ] Drum Tower: There used to be a huge drum in the tower which told the time at dusk; hence, the name Drum Tower. The bell in the Bell Tower and the drum in the Drum Tower, have been referred to as "the Morning Bell" and "the Dusk Drum". Later, the drum was no longer used to tell time but only to give warnings to people in times of war.

The highlight today is the visit to Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum.
Xian Bell TowerBuilt in 1384 A.D, the Bell Tower boasts a history of over 600 years. It is the largest and best-preserved of its kind in China. Visiting the Bell Tower, you can still see the Big Iron Bell which was made in Ming Dynasty, 2,500 kilograms in weight.
Big Wild Goose PagodaIt was built in 652 during the Tang Dynasty and currently boasts height of seven stories. It’s said that Master Xuan Zang built this pagoda to house the Buddhist scriptures and relics he had brought back from India.
Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses MuseumTerracotta Warriors is the underworld terracotta army of Emperor Qin Shihuang (the first unifier of China, 259BC-210BC). It’s reputed as the Eighth Miracle of the World. Now the Terracotta Museum consists of Pit 1, Pit 2, Pit 3 and Pit 4 as well as the Hall of the two bronze chariots and horses.

[ Optional ] Tang Dynasty Dinner Show: The Tang Dynasty show has absorbed all the best music from the past dynasties and that of western regions and other countries. It vividly reflects their thriving economy, the friendly relationship between Tang and its neighboring countries, and the daily life of the Tang people.
Day  14  Xian  ( B )
Morning is free at your leisure till transfer to Xian airport for your flight to next destination. Your pleasant tour ends here.
Shaanxi Provincial History MuseumIt is one of the Top 3 national museums in China. This museum boasts 370,000 pieces relics range from prehistory when human just used simple stone tools to exquisite wares in the Qing Dynasty (1644–1911)., and enables you to see the vast changes of China in the past 5,000 years.

[ Optional ] Ancient City Wall: It is the most well-preserved ancient military defensive systems in the world. It is composed of the moat, hanging bridges, battlements, watchtowers, tunnels and parapet. Today, the roadway is a promenade enjoyed by strolling tourist. Cycling on the wall with families is a great thing!
